Program Purpose:
The Career Studies Certificate in Information Technology and Business Fundamentals is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to be productive users of a personal computer and to understand basic business concepts. The focus of the program includes general computer usage, keyboarding, working with operating systems, working with office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and the Internet. The student will apply knowledge of basic computer operations to solving real-world business problems and scenarios. The program covers competencies for Digital Literacy certification in addition to other nationally recognized certifications.
Program Requirements:
The program enables the student to develop the skill set needed to be productive with a personal computer on the job. This stackable credential would benefit anyone just entering the workforce or wanting to update his or her skills to the latest software versions.
