Program Pupose: The program will provide entry-level skills to those planning to obtain employment in welding. This program is a first step in the career pathway for students interested in learning weld and becoming a certified welder.
Program Requirements:
Course work will be completed in the history of welding, safety and health principles, basic welding, equipment and equipment setup, advantages and disadvantages of different welding processes, and basic welding processes of oxyacetylene, arc, and gas welding while performing common welding functions. The student will gain introductory knowledge of welding and welding career opportunities. Students completing the program will earn a Career Studies Certificate in Welding Fundamentals.
