Purpose: The Associate of Science degree program in Business Administration is designed for individuals who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a baccalaureate degree.

Admission Requirements: In addition to the general admission requirements to the College, as stated earlier in this catalog, entry into the Associate of Science degree program in Business Administration requires as a minimum the satisfactory completion of the following high school units or equivalents:

• 1 unit of laboratory science
• 1 unit of social studies
• 4 units of English
• 3 units of mathematics (including algebra or geometry)

Program Requirements: Achievement in the business world requires competency with other areas of knowledge such as the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences in addition to those courses directly pertinent to business. Upon satisfactory completion of the program, the student is eligible to receive the Associate of Science degree with a major in Business Administration. Each student is urged to become familiar with the requirements of the major department of the four-year institution being considered for transfer. The student should also consult with his/her faculty advisor at SWCC concerning the selection of electives in order to facilitate the transfer of credits.
