Purpose:
The Career Studies Certificate in Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technology is a specialty area training for students with advanced knowledge of automotive vehicle repair. The course work will help prepare students to earn the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist Certification.

Program Requirements:
Students will complete coursework in battery systems, internal combustion engines, drive systems, power electronics, and hybrid supporting systems. As part of the lab work, students will assemble and disassemble a modified electric vehicle. Students completing the course work will earn the Career Studies Certificate in Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technology.
