DSL 152: Diesel Power Trains, Chassis, and Suspension

Laboratory hours per week: 4

Studies the chassis, suspension, steering and brake systems found on medium and heavy-duty diesel trucks. Covers construction features, operating principles and service procedures for such power train components as clutches, multi-speed transmissions, propeller shafts, and rear axles. Teaches operations of modern equipment to correct and adjust abnormalities.  An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.
