AUT 249: Advanced Automotive Electrical Diagnostics5 Credits

Introduces advanced automotive electrical concepts, including theory and practical application. It provides instruction on diagnosing and repairing computer controlled modules, circuits, and systems. Covers advanced electronic principles, definitions of electronic terminology, computer networking, and how to use electronic test equipment. Provides preparation for the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) A6 Electrical/Electronic Systems Certification examination. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only. Prerequisite(s): AUT 149
